Mad Different features an intimate series of unplugged concerts filmed at Amazon Music Studios in New York City, as well as behind-the-scenes footage and artist interviews, offering a rare and intimate glimpse into the lives and artistry of these intersectional artists. It focuses on diverse experiences intersecting with Black/Brown, Queer, Trans, Neurodivergent, and Disability identities.
Lachi joins forces with a diverse array of world-class female musicians and celebrated co-artists, each bringing their unique perspective to the stage. From non-binary neurodivergent artist Medusa and deaf performer Indi Robinson, the series promises a rich exploration of identity and belonging through their original songs.

Mad Differentis more than a series of performances; it’s a community-driven cultural movement. The song was completely remade in 2024, and the lyrics were also changed to a “lighter direction”. At the same time, it became more of a rock song.
The original idea of the song was that dictators don’t have a happy ending! The people will eventually revolt and put an end to the dictatorship. Maybe not the ultimate Eurovision material. The song was transformed to tell a new kind of story. In the new version, we approach a relationship. What could a cheating spouse read from your lips? Singer Johanna Koskiniemi is a former music class teacher who has also just completed a basic degree in metalwork. She has always loved music and has been involved in some way with music all her life. Johanna has studied piano, saxophone, and trumpet and has also taken singing lessons.
She has also been seen in various singing competitions and theater productions and has studied music and acting all the way abroad. Johanna has been voted FinnRadio.FM’s hit Artist of the Year two years in a row, and the song she recorded, Tee Mulle Taivas, was chosen on the same channel as Hit of the Year 2023.

Who is Gianluca Zanna, CEO of Zanna Records?
Gianluca Zanna’s musical journey began in Rome, Italy, where he spent his early childhood by the sea, enchanted by his grandfather’s serenades and the epic cinematic scores from his family’s movie theatre. However, his idyllic surroundings changed when he entered Italy’s prestigious National Boarding School “Convitto Nazionale” at just 10 years old. Madi Simmons entered the performing scene at the age of 16. He started out playing the drums, songwriting, and singing. Madi Simmons continues to “speak to you through the music” on current issues that touch his heart.
J. Maurice’s new hit single entitled “Facetime” is a pumping tribute to the dating culture of the past year. The lyrics cleverly describe the situation many find themselves in throughout the world under quarantine, where the drive to find love is still high, but they’re unable to meet up due to the pandemic. Instead, he says to “Facetime me girl.” The steady beat and hip-hop overtones will inspire a need to get up and dance when you hear it, and many will relate on a personal level to the J. Maurice’s lyrics.
Manu Francois is a mixed genre artist from St. Lucia in the Caribbean, living in New Zealand. Been playing music all his life. His music spans a variety of styles and tastes. This is his 4th studio album and he has released many singles as well.
He says “This EP was written as a cathartic expression of realness in me. I wanted to create something that truly expressed the shape and colour of my heart and soul, no frills, no fancy technological additions. We asked Jonathan Arceneaux what the song was about and he said ”
‘Phoenix Heart’ is a very personal song for me. I’ve always identified with the legend of the Phoenix in that I have had to start over many times in my life, picking myself up from the proverbial “ashes” and move forward to the next chapter. It takes an incredible amount of strength and will to keep going after we’ve been knocked down in this life and we all have to have a Phoenix Heart to survive it. This song is dedicated to all of those who don’t give up and don’t quit, no matter what.
Born in New Orleans, Jonathan Arceneaux started singing not long after he learned to talk and hasn’t stopped singing since!
At a very young age Jonathan began his career as a singer in a church choir and started taking voice lessons in both classical and musical theatre styles. During his High School years in Baton Rouge, LA, Jonathan continued singing in the choir and participated in several musical theatre productions.
He also started to tap into his writing talents as a freshman in High School, drawing inspiration from some of his favourite bands and artists like Better Than Ezra, Duncan Sheik and Savage Garden.
Over the years following, Jonathan began to realize that his true passion was singing and writing Pop music, so he changed his focus from classical and music theatre to be a full time Pop singer/songwriter.
He is a passionate, true artist with emotional expression through his writing, production, and performance. Jonathan also enjoys collaborating with other artists to meld unique tastes in sound and texture.
In 2008 he worked with hit producers I-ROC (Universal Music/HappyMadison Productions/BZEE ROC) and RADIO (Chris Brown’s “Dreamer”/Blake Lewis’ “End of the World”).
As a result of the collaboration with RADIO in 2009, Jonathan released “From TheAshes”, under the name Jay Arseno, his sophomore follow up to his debut album in 2008, “Face In You Crowd”, under the name Jonathan Adam.
After the loss of his father to kidney cancer in August of 2009, Jonathan took some time off from music and in 2013 he decided to move from his home in Houston, TX to Los Angeles, CA for an immersive experience in the heart of the music industry.
While he learned a lot about the industry and himself, Los Angeles was not a good fit for him. So, in 2015 Jonathan decided to get back to his roots and move back home to the Big Easy, New Orleans. Not long after moving to New Orleans, Jonathan met Konstantin Smorodnikov, a personal trainer originally from Russia who had a love and talent for music as well.
Jonathan and Konstantin had an instant connection as friends and decided to start working on music together. While Jonathan came from more of a pop music writing background and classical vocal training, Konstantin’s background was in the club and dance music scene.
The next couple of years lead to the duo developing a seamless blending of Jonathan’s lyrics and vocals and Konstantin’s beats and instrumentation to create a sound all their own. In July 2018 they were approached by Loren Israel to participate in his song writing mentorship program.
Little did Jonathan and Konstantin know that this would be an integral turning point in their musical journey.
After a year of instruction, guidance, and tough love from Loren and by honing their skills in song writing and lyricism, they have emerged as the duo, N2BLÜ.
Born and raised in Kostroma, Russia, Konstantin Smorodnikov fell in love with music at early age. It was the structure of rhythm and arrangement that most interested him.
Around 15 is when he was introduced to computer music production.
At 18 moved to America where spent most of his 20’s going out to local dance clubs and learning all he could about technical side of production and sound engineering. He drew inspiration from DJ’s like PeterRauhofer and Abel Aguilera.
In 2016 he met Jonathan Arceneaux. They realized that they both shared a passion for similar sounds and ideas in music and decided to give a musical partnership a shot.
While the days are getting cooler and darker, so does the new single of the Two Brothers.

I am a music producer, songwriter, engineer and artist who goes by the name ‘Hot Money’. I own and run my own recording studio facility in London, UK and have worked with names such as Stefflon Don, Stormzy, Krept and Konan and more.
When did you start music?
I started out playing piano from the age of around 7 years old. Later into my teenagers, I got my first computers for music making and started to make beats. Once I started to get good, I attended SAE (School of Audio Engineering) to learn how to make by beats knock and overall mixing techniques.
How did you get into music?
My pops bought me a keyboard for Christmas so I started messing around with the demo presets. After a few months, I asked to learn more about the instrument, he then put me onto a piano tutor.
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
Having children whilst pursuing a career in music. When you’ve got the pressure’s of putting food on the table, it steps your hustle to a whole new level.

I am currently independent working on building my own labels.
Who inspires you the most musically?
I am most inspired by beatmakers and producers. I am more of a sound guy so I enjoy listening to the architecture of music productions. Names like Timbaland, Pharrell, Rodney Jerkins will always be legends to me.

I’ve got an instrumental album coming out called ‘UK Takeover Vol. 1’. It’s a compilation of beats from UK Genre’s like Drill, Afro Swing and Grime.
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
One of my greatest achievements is hearing my early Grime instrumentals take over the UK Club scene. The beats also got crazy radio play on the BBC (UK). I ended up getting a Best Producer Nomination from that!

Drake would be the ultimate collab. Just the whole energy around his brand can make or break a beat a lot of the times.

My instrumental album is out now on Spotify and all the big platforms. It’s a collection of UK inspired beats for rappers and listeners all around the world.
What does a day inside your shoes look like?
My day is filled with answering emails, organizing studio sessions, making beats and working on my goals in other areas of my life.

I grew up in a family who is not supporting my dreams and I had to overcome the usual financial struggles that come with that by myself. Luckily my friends always made sure I got to enjoy things growing up. Big up my bestie and my producers who held my hand through hardship.

Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
I have a song coming out called ‘You should know’ on the 27th of November featuring Grammy nominated producer Rmb Justize. It’s about a girl falling in love with a relationship she never saw coming and people talk about it – hot topic. It’s a romantic song talking about the magic between the two and how beautiful it is to know each other so well.
What does a day inside your shoes look like?
Making music, making money and university. Making music, developing my fashion brand and networking online. As a CEO and founder of my own label and fashion brand a lot of things has to be dealt by me.

What started off as a muse for creating during the quarantine only a few months ago, has turned into a new outlet that is quickly gaining momentum! Hailing from Mantua, Ohio, a small farming village right in between Cleveland and Akron.
The debut EP titled “Let’s Blackout” features three exciting tracks. Kicking off with the dancy “Can’t Stay Awake” leading into “Let’s Blackout” a more foot tapping rock n blues style. Lastly, “Ticket To Ride” hits short and to the point with a repeating catchy chorus that gets stuck in your head.
When asked about The Small Town, Bianchi had this to say “The Small Town project was a long time coming for me personally. The name is derived from literally where I live and am from. There’s nothing here. I’ve gone through a lot of changes, especially, over the past year and this really inspired just laying down what I felt at the exact moment in time. No second guessing. It was so freeing to do so at least on this debut effort.”

Former metal singer Hudson Henry is a producer and DJ who creates melodic electronic music with bombastic drums. After debuting with “Feathers” in 2016, he began releasing more guest-heavy feature tracks. His songs have appeared on Raver Magazine and Liam Hemsworth’s Legend Video.
Hudson has amassed over 450,000 streams on “The Last Time,” featuring Lisa Cimorelli. In 2019 we were featured on the official “Fresh Friday” playlist, which was absolutely incredible. Hudson came up with a unique way to market his song “The Last Time.” He offered fans something called a “digital gift pack.” When fans would pre-order the song, they would receive a digital booklet that thanked each fan for their support. The digital book included lyrics from the song, the official artwork, and exclusive content fans could enjoy while flipping through each page.

We both grew up in South East London, Thamesmead to be exact. We met each other in school and we’ve been best mates since year 7, grew together over the past ten years, being in the same group of boys etc.

We Started music in January/February 2020 early on in the year. We were writing a lot before releasing our first song and then we started properly posting ourselves out on socials in June 2020.
How did you get into music?
It was at the beginning of the year, DBE had dropped three tapes in 2019, M Huncho had also just dropped another tape, Nafe was also getting more recognition and we looked at each other and thought, why not? We both love music, love the sound they create, we’d rather be making music than doing a job for the rest of our lives we don’t enjoy, so what do we have to lose? We’ve both loved music for a long time, in particular rap/trap wave.
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
We’ve both had to overcome similar challenging issues throughout our lives. Losing loved ones, losing people you thought you’d always be close with because they broke the trust you had, back stabbers, fake friends with fake loyalty, mental health issues etc.

Who inspires you the most musically?
Both our inspirations are similar in some ways, more diverse in others. For example, both look up to the likes of M Huncho, Nafe Smallz, DBE. Individually, Atrip found himself connecting with artists such as JuiceWrld and Rinzo listened to lots of Lil Wayne just to name one each as there’s far too many!
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music?
We want people to take positive and wavy/creative vibes from our music but also the reality that life is tough. You do have pain and tough times, but you will always get through them and be stronger.
Any new music coming out soon?
Yes! Lots! The next single we will be releasing is called Sprite towards the end of November but over the next 2 months leading into the new year, people can expect to see at least 4 new singles.
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
Our greatest achievement as musicians is just getting into the booth and writing and producing our first song putting it out to people. It can be hard to find the courage to step into the booth for the first time but with the right mentality and people working with us we did it with ease.
Do you produce your own music? If not who do you work with?
We produce our music by finding beats we both like on YouTube and then working with different producers that way. We enjoy reaching out to new producers and finding different sounds that other producers offer.
Who is one artist you wish you could work with?
Picking one is very tough.
If it had to be one Rinzo would love to work with M Huncho, hearing what people say, he’s a really genuine guy, fun to be around and the studio would have incredible vibes. Atrip would love to work with Nafe Smallz, for similar reasons above, plus, he’s met him once already!
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
Sprite is coming out this November. Sprite is a fun song we expect people to play at max volume and have a good time to. Throughout the song there’s mentions of all of the challenging issues we mentioned above. Trust issues, some elements of drug abuse, mental health, other elements of us having fun and enjoying yourself so yeah, quite a mixed bag to say the least. We just met one day and wrote what we felt at the time.
What does a day inside your shoes look like?
Day in the life of OCR is wake up, vibe out, link up and then browse beats, write bars and work on perfecting our music. We spend a lot of time chilling in the car writing, studio and our yards.

We’re just two ordinary guys that want to create great music, consistently and help to influence the music industry. We’re always looking to improve, try new things and always want feedback from people outside of our circle.

I often saw Josh, a homeless man without legs, in his wheelchair. He always smiled at people wishing them a great day instead of begging for money. I sometimes gave him some coins. One day, I was busking in Peckham, Josh came over to listen and watch my performance and threw money in my guitar case. Tell us about your background getting to where you are today?
I have a degree in animation but then I discovered music production and audio engineering and gravitated towards it in my mid twenties. My journey has taken me to living and training in the Caribbean, starting off as a studio assistant and then working up to being a producer and engineer. After 4 years abroad, I’m no residing back in the UK running a studio and also Lecturing at the Academy of Contemporary Music teaching music production and audio engineering.
Where are you from?
I was born in England, my mother is from Trinidad and my dad is from Mauritius.
When did you start music?
I have always been into music, that transformed into DJ-ing in my teens, but it was just a hobby. After obtaining my BA in Animation thats when I started to get into music production and I started taking it seriously.
How did you get into music?
After graduating with my degree in animation I was doing a freelance Job in Brixton. It was in a complex that housed many offices and studio spaces. A lot of then were occupied by creatives, from filmakers, dancers, music studio producers. I was at this job for like 8 months and got to know some of the music studio owners and one day I asked if I can have a dabble for a few hours. I instantly fell in love with it and the rest is history.
What is the most challenging thing you have overcome in your life?
Being creative can be tough for anyone, I already had a degree and was very good at what I was doing with art and animation so for me it was uprooting myself to follow my dream and start all again to learn something different.
Are you currently signed or independent?
I am an independent however I have a management deal with 1 2 One Entertainment.
Who inspires you the most musically?
Tough question, but I think Bob Marley, Michael Jackson and producer Quincy Jones.
What do you want people to take away after listening to your music
That they have not just heard something I have done or something I have contributed towards, but they have experienced something about who I am.

Yes! Working very closely with Krishane (son of the Reggae legend Barrington Levy). We have something we have been working on few things now for a while, things will drop as and when its ready, so watch this space, its happening soon!
What is your greatest achievement as a musician?
When I started teaching students at a degree level. I’ve not been formally trained in music, so I always had a self belief that I couldn’t teach it. Its very touching when some of these kids are so eager to learn from you.
Do you produce your own music? If not who do you work with?
Yes, pretty much all of my music is created and mixed by me. I have worked and collaborated with other producers, I think more now than ever collaboration is important.
Who is one artist you wish you could work with?
Ok someone who is no longer with us: Michael Jackson, I think doing a record with him will not just be the creation of something memorable, but I believe I would have been pushed and taken away some valuable lessons about music and life. The other person(s) would be the Marley brothers especially Jr. Gong and Stephen.
Tell us about any new music you have coming out? When is coming out? What is it about?
I have a record with Krishane called Lockdown that has been in development for a while now.
What does a day inside your shoes look like?
Always a cup of tea to start the day, after it all depends on if I’m teaching or not. If I’m teaching all day, I will very rarely end up in the studio in the evening unless its a must. I’ve started to value my down time as much as my time creating, that balance is important. If I’m not teaching, it all depends how I feel, I might make some music, or finish off any pending mixes, but if I’m not doing any of those things I dedicate time to learn new things about what I’m doing within music and audio engineering, this industry moves very fast and I think that its important to always be a student to your craft.
Anything else you want the audience to know about you?
When I’m not in the studio I really enjoy cooking.

Born in New Orleans, Jonathan Arceneaux started singing not long after he learned to talk and hasn’t stopped singing since!
At a very young age Jonathan began his career as a singer in a church choir and started taking voice lessons in both classical and musical theatre styles. During his High School years in Baton Rouge, LA, Jonathan continued singing in the choir and participated in several musical theatre productions. He also started to tap into his writing talents as a freshman in High School, drawing inspiration from some of his favourite bands and artists like Better Than Ezra, Duncan Sheik and Savage Garden.
Over the years following, Jonathan began to realize that his true passion was singing and writing Pop music, so he changed his focus from classical and music theatre to be a full time Pop singer/songwriter. He is a passionate, true artist with emotional expression through his writing, production, and performance. Jonathan also enjoys collaborating with other artists to meld unique tastes in sound and texture.
In 2008 he worked with hit producers I-ROC (Universal Music/HappyMadison Productions/BZEE ROC) and RADIO (Chris Brown’s “Dreamer”/Blake Lewis’ “End of the World”).
As a result of the collaboration with RADIO in 2009, Jonathan released “From TheAshes”, under the name Jay Arseno, his sophomore follow up to his debut album in 2008, “Face In You Crowd”, under the name Jonathan Adam.
After the loss of his father to kidney cancer in August of 2009, Jonathan took some time off from music and in 2013 he decided to move from his home in Houston, TX to Los Angeles, CA for an immersive experience in the heart of the music industry.
While he learned a lot about the industry and himself, Los Angeles was not a good fit for him. So, in 2015 Jonathan decided to get back to his roots and move back home to the Big Easy, New Orleans. Not long after moving to New Orleans, Jonathan met Konstantin Smorodnikov, a personal trainer originally from Russia who had a love and talent for music as well.
Jonathan and Konstantin had an instant connection as friends and decided to start working on music together. While Jonathan came from more of a pop music writing background and classical vocal training, Konstantin’s background was in the club and dance music scene. The next couple of years lead to the duo developing a seamless blending of Jonathan’s lyrics and vocals and Konstantin’s beats and instrumentation to create a sound all their own. In July 2018 they were approached by Loren Israel to participate in his song writing mentorship program.
Little did Jonathan and Konstantin know that this would be an integral turning point in their musical journey.
After a year of instruction, guidance, and tough love from Loren and by honing their skills in song writing and lyricism, they have emerged as the duo, N2BLÜ.
Born and raised in Kostroma, Russia, Konstantin Smorodnikov fell in love with music at early age. It was the structure of rhythm and arrangement that most interested him.
Around 15 is when he was introduced to computer music production.
At 18 moved to America where spent most of his 20’s going out to local dance clubs and learning all he could about technical side of production and sound engineering. He drew inspiration from DJ’s like PeterRauhofer and Abel Aguilera.
In 2016 he met Jonathan Arceneaux. They realized that they both shared a passion for similar sounds and ideas in music and decided to give a musical partnership a shot.

“Afternoon Ambience” is an album combining Indian Classical Music and Ambient music, in the World Music genre. It is a lush soundscape for relaxation and rejuvenation.
It is based on Rāga Bhimpalasi, an afternoon rāga. Rāga is the main component of Indian Classical Music. Rāga, a Sanskrit word, means “that which colours or leaves an impression”. A mood is created by its notes and phrases, and a full recital of a raga consists of several movements, and is very similar to a western classical symphony.
The listener is brought of a journey through melodic and rhythmic structure and improvisations.

What’s the Unique Thing About This Album ?
Indian Classical musicis improvisation in nature.
There are rules (certain notes and phrases) to each raga, and there is a typical progression (discussed below with the details of each track).
The album is one raga – it has the same mood throughout, through movements of freeform melody as well as rhythmic exploration.
Cello and Ambient Guitar are not typical Indian Classical Instruments. Having these instruments provides another dimension to the album.
The first song particularly has been described as cinematic. Indian Classical music is a tonal music style, all notes are in relationship to the drone. As opposed to equal tempered tuning required for western music with chords and different keys which slices the octave into equal steps, the Indian notes (Swaras) are based on simple ratios (3/2, 4/3, 5/4, 7/5, etc.) and mimic the relationships with nature. This adds to the relaxing quality of the music.
1. Unwind (Alaap) [17:29] – Alaap is the beginning of the rāga where the melodic structure is slowly improvised and unveiled in a freeform style without rhythm. This is performed on the santoor, a 100-stringed Indian instrument, with accompaniment by Bansuri Flute, Cello, Ambient Guitar, Harmonium, and Tanpura (drone instrument).
2. Deeper (Jod) [12:41] – Jod adds a rhythm to the melodic introduction in Alaap.
3. Swirling (Vilambit Gat in Jhaptaal) [14:30] – This is a slow (“Vilambit”) tempo composition (“Gat”) set to a 10 beat (“Jhaptaal”) rhythmic cycle, accompanied by the tabla (Indian hand drums).
4. Building (Madhya Gat in Teentaal) [8:22] – This is a medium (“Madhya”) tempo composition (“Gat”) set to a 16 beat (“Teentaal”) rhythmic cycle, accompanied by the tabla.
5. Ascent (Drut Gat in Teentaal) [6:34] – This is a fast (“Drut”) tempo composition (“Gat”) set to a 16 beat (“Teentaal”) rhythmic cycle, accompanied by the tabla, ending with a very fast climax called Jhala. In a typical performance this would be the end of the rāga.
6. Let Go [10:27] – A final relaxation with vocal and flute, to integrate the musical journey.

Ron Wright was born in Montana and received his musical education from ASU. An experienced studio musician with a strong track record as a performer, engineer, and producer. Ron enjoys all styles of music, as his BMI compositions reveal.

When the pandemic struck, Celiane the Voice watched her thriving music career come to a screeching halt. Gigs were abruptly cancelled, venues were closed, ticket sales were refunded to the customers, concerts were indefinitely postponed and her career was at a standstill.
For the first time in her entire music career, Celiane did not to know if her career would be able to weather this storm (also known as the Coronavirus crisis). Just like other artist and musicians, she had to face the uncertain reality brought on by a Global pandemic that completely disrupted the entertainment industry. As the months progressed, she was faced with two choices: 1. Throw in the towel or 2. Reinvent herself. She chose the latter.

Eight months since the world as we knew it changed forever, Celiane the Voice made the decision to tap into her business savvy and build a brand that superseded music. She put together a Business Plan and started a company.
Her entertainment company comprises film and TV production, stage productions, creation of her own comic book, video game music, personal transformation courses, “Celiane the Voice” merch, building collaborations and a costume and set design entity.
“I’m an entertainer, but I also have a Business background so I knew at the onset of the pandemic that I would have to pivot if I wanted to save my career. I knew that it was no longer business as usual, so I tapped into my talents and skill set and diversified my brand”, said Celiane.

The latest release schedule doesn’t let up with a new single ‘Rise Like The Sun’. A Latin rock groove that cuts through the current climate like a hot knife through butter.
Uplifting sunshine grooves with remixes from Colombian to India, the UK with a few European mainland connections thrown in for good measure. The lyric suggests not been held down by the people in high places, the unknown powers who make decisions about out lives that we have no control over.
‘I want to rise like the sun and hold back for no one’ is a lyric sung with power and persuasion by Dar.Ra who takes a further dig at those powers by singing;

Dar.Ra Biography
Dar.Ra is a Music Writer, Producer and Author who earned his stripes with hits for EMI and 21St Century Artists and set up the Kusha Deep Label in the 2000s releasing his first solo Album in 2009, called ‘Soul Hours‘. The UK, USA music press and radio, made Album of the week on Heart FM Spain, supported the album.
One of the tracks ‘Haunted Dancehall’ featured in a Hollywood film staring Hilary Duff and ‘Snakes On Planes’. Dar.Ra played on BBC Radio Cambridge to a million people live when they connected up their regional stations around the Midlands.

Tiana Kocher teamed up with multi-platinum recording artist and rapper Sage the Gemini for her latest single release, ‘Take Over’, which she wrote with GRAMMY award-winning writer Candace Wakefield, and Sage the Gemini.
Releasing through Manila Music, the ‘Take Over’ music video was directed by Ali Zamani and produced by Zeus Zamani of AZ Films. Set on a Southern California sun drenched backdrop, ‘Take Over’ is a song about love, but through the eyes of both the male and female’s perspective of a couple finding each other and “taking over” the world together.
“Take Over’ was one of the first songs I ever recorded in Los Angeles,” says Kocher. “I recorded and filmed the music video over two years ago during summer 2018, and it was my first song working with a feature. I had an incredible time working with Sage, who ended up being one of my closest confidants in the industry. I consider him my big brother. I was fortunate enough to be able to work really closely with AZ Films to create a visual that matches the energy of the song. We always want to outdo ourselves, so we came up with the idea of filming the music video on a yacht! I had such a great time working with my closest friends on this music video.”

This American singer and songwriter has been on the rapping scene for a few years now, and in that time, he’s really affirmed himself as one of the guys you want to watch. Over the last four years, he’s consistently brought out quality music, and none more so than his latest offering, the album “Marz on Earth”.
As the name tells us, this brand new album deals with anything and everything to do with Earth and humanity, which is why we’re so convinced you’ll like it. You’re human, aren’t you?
The other reason why you’ll like tracks like “Application”, “Shade” or “What It Look Like” is Marz’s unique style and voice. His voice is thrilling, with just the right amount of edginess to it, and yet just enough softness to make him appeal to softer listeners. He doesn’t get in your face, yet he manages to show you his attitude. This guy’s strong, but also gentle. In other words, The Real King Marz’s voice is the perfect expression of humanity – it’s complex, melodic, soft and strong, vulnerable, yet full of attitude.

We keep being told that so-and-so artist is the one you need to be listening to, or that someone else is the one to watch, but in this case, he really is. I was just as surprised as you were, but this new artist I wanna talk to you about really is worth checking out.
Why? Because he’s exciting. Because he puts out good music that will obsess you days and even weeks from now. Because “Hour of Destiny” is quite possibly the best album I’ve heard in years, and that alone should be enough to get you to check it out. Seriously, do you know how much music I listen to? So when I say that, well, you better believe it.
“Hour of Destiny” comes at your from skilled hip hop artist La Stat, out of Hartford CT. A man with a deep passion for music and a complex understanding of sound and rhythm, La Stat knew early on that this was the way for him to go, and he’s followed his passion relentlessly ever since his youth.
And you feel that in his music. Songs like “Playin Fa Keeps”, sure, that’s one of the bangers on this album, one of those songs that you feel deep in your bones as ringing true and honest. In fact, I think that’s one of the things that really gets me about this artist – the profound honesty and heartfelt quality of each lyric.
“Hour of Destiny” is choc-full of great examples of that. Tracks like “Soulful Represent” that speak to you about life and about the role of art in the 21st century. “Soulful Represent” is a compelling exercise in introspection, and since we all do that more or less constantly, it’s easy to see why it’s such a catchy, memorable tune.
Then of course, we’ve got the more hardcore, filled with attitude songs like “Fear No Man”. The type of music that gives listeners the strength to go on and helps them feel strong, like they can take on the world. And that’s exactly what music should do. Good music, at least.
Each track on La Stat’s album fills you with a unique eotion and I could probably fill another page or ten talking about what I feel listening to his killer rhythm. But honestly, I think it’d be even better if you hit the play button and just saw what his music makes you feel, instead.
Joe Hodgson is a talented guitarist and musician from Northern Ireland. He grew up there at the height of The Troubles, a time of systemic violence and huge political and social unrest, eventually finding an escape from it all via music. Joe honed his craft for several years as a band member in local groups before he finally moved to London to take his passion for music to the next level. After dedicating over two decades of his life to writing, recording, touring, and serving as a lead guitarist for various bands, Joe finally decided to launch a career as a solo guitarist.
Joe recently released his debut solo single, “The One that Got Away”, on August 28, 2020. Based on the concept of ‘change is the only constant’, it is an instrumental track written in the aftermath of the break-up of a long term relationship, and it explores the gut-wrenching, visceral effect that this had on him.

The first time Joe heard Rory play, he knew instantly that this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He explains, “It was mind-blowing and after that, nothing else mattered to me”.
When it comes to his musical style, Joe is a rock guitar player who incorporates influences from various genres including blues, funk, Latin and jazz. Working closely with renowned producer and Ivor Novello winner George De Angelis for nearly two decades, is something that Joe cites as having played a major part in nurturing and shaping his career.
Joe has recently finished working on his upcoming debut solo album titled “Apparitions”. The album is set to be released on November 20, 2020, and will be comprised of 15 self-penned instrumentals. The album is based on the same themes as his current single, “The One That Got Away”, while also delving darker and deeper into the human psyche.
New York music journalist Justyn W. Brodsky recently commented that “Joe is a musician who can paint pictures and tells stories with his guitar”. This is a statement that everyone can surely agree on.

Joe Hodgson – The Full Story
While Northern Irish guitarist Joe Hodgson is an accomplished student of the bluesy hard rock he grew up on, it’s his ability to transcend the genre and use his instrument to paint pictures and tell stories that makes him such a vital artist. His compositions are influenced not only by personal experiences, but also by a love of literature and a deep curiosity about the human condition, and are filled with stirring melodies that can evoke the listener’s deepest emotions.
Growing up in rural County Tyrone, Northern Ireland at the height of The Troubles, music provided a young Joe with a way to temporarily escape the bleak circumstances around him. His love of guitar was ignited after discovering Irish blues legend Rory Gallagher, and shortly after he managed to procure his first instrument, a battered old second hand Woolworth’s Top Twenty guitar. The day that changed Joe’s life for good though, was when he saw another Irish great, Gary Moore, play at the UK Monsters Of Rock Festival. Joe recalls, “I was blown away by the sheer brilliance of Gary’s playing on every level, and from that moment, all I wanted to do was play guitar”. A hobby quickly turned into a passion, and Joe became obsessed with the instrument, spending all of his free time absorbing the popular hard rock and blues of the day, and gigging around Ireland with his first band Steel Claw.
When the band split up, Joe moved to London where he integrated himself into the city’s thriving indie scene, spending the next two decades writing, recording, touring, and playing lead guitar in various rock bands, releasing numerous albums and singles along the way, and collaborating with an eclectic mix of songwriters on varied musical projects.
During his time in London, Joe worked closely with legendary producer and Ivor Novello winner George De Angelis, who he cites as a major influence on his career, “George took me under his wing and I learnt so much from him about songwriting, production and music in general. He’s a genius and I am very lucky to have met and worked with him”. Joe also embraced the sense of liberation and independence that living in London brought, and it also helped him hone his musical chops; “London changed, challenged and broadened my whole view of music; it forced me to grow up musically, and I quickly realised that touching people’s emotions is far more important than dazzling them with technique”. Joe’s musical explorations led him to branch out and incorporate elements of funk, jazz, and experimental music into his playing, laying the foundations for his future career as a solo guitarist.
After returning to his native Northern Ireland to nurse his terminally ill mother in her final years, Joe began embracing the spiritual nature of music, composing melodies and themes that helped him find peace, solace, and hope in difficult times. “It was soul destroying to see the person I loved most in the world just wither away in front of my eyes, and it had a profound effect on me and my music. The break up of my relationship shortly after, really was the proverbial double whammy, but playing guitar proved to be my saviour. It was incredibly cathartic and it saw me through some dark and difficult times”. The resulting debut solo album, ‘Apparitions’, inspired by his Mum’s favourite W.B. Yeats poem, and dedicated to her, is a meditative and soul-searching collection of instrumentals, full of evocative melodies and atmospheres, that delivers everything from delicate, mournful slide playing to fast and furious gunslinging guitar rock, and everything in between.
The overarching theme of the music is incorporated on the album cover, and as Joe explains “It’s about how nothing ever stays the same, everything changes or decays; lives are lived, and love is lost, but looking forward is the one thing we can all do.
Yes, we may have regrets, but hope and optimism are usually only around the next corner”. So, far from being melancholic or overly sentimental, ‘Apparitions’ reveals Joe as a guitarist capable of using his music to provide a soundtrack for life’s most difficult and most triumphant times; a man with the ability to express his deepest feelings using little more than his guitar.

WHO IS MICHAEL RAY ?
A renowned international trumpeter Michael Ray is a seasoned jazz-funk musician who has had stellar runs with Patti LaBelle, The Delfonics, The Stylistics, Kool and the Gang, Sun Ra Arkestra, and many other legendary bands.
A professional musician for more than forty years, this Trenton, New Jersey native has simultaneously mined every side of the of international music scene since the late 1970’s playing his supersonic jazz/funk/future trumpet as the Intergalactic Research Tone Scientist with Sun Ra&His Arkestra, prancing around to the funky sounds of the platinum-selling, stadium-filling, hella killer horn driven Grammy Award winning R&B/Funk best-sellers, Kool & the Gang and many other world-wide phenomenon’s.

The History of BSR
Busking since high school, the college dropout has made his way across the country playing to anyone who listened. His talent and dedication lead to sharing the stage with artists like DAWES, WILD and Briston Maroney.
As a teen, one of Bryan’s favourite activities with his friends was climbing water towers and hanging upside down from the top by only their knees.
Bryan was notorious for doing what he wanted, when he wanted, including sneaking out of his parent’s house and hitch-hiking a 10-hour ride to Florida to surprise his girlfriend on the beach.
More recently, Bryan’s brother almost lost his life in a car accident. Dealing with those feelings inspired his musical journey that brought him unforetold adventures.
He often tells the story of being attacked in a convenience store which:
“lead to a full-fledged movie-like fight that included knocking over shelves and throwing beer bottles. The store was destroyed.”
From waking up to SWAT teams thinking the band’s van was owned by a nearby active shooter, to unexpectedly playing a nudist pool party of 100+ people, BSR’s thrilling lifestyle is certainly rendered in their music and performance.

It’s a terribly emotional song, but not in a way that’s soppy or embarrassing. It’s the sort of song that hits you straight in the feels and makes you choke up, and the most interesting thing is, you don’t even know why it happens. So skilled this woman is at expressing her sorrow through music that you find yourself mourning and you don’t even know what for.
You just feel your stomach’s twisted up in a knot, and you can barely breathe with this immense weight on your shoulders. And I don’t know if that’s what Anjelica feels herself, but that’s what she makes her listeners feel with her new hit “Good Ones”.

In fact, listening to the tune, you become quite convinced that what Anjelica is asking, quite vocally, actually, is “why do the good ones have to die?”.
And you think to yourself, oh then that’s what the title means. Yes and no. the title can mean so much more.
Through this lack of precision, Anjelica actually turns these two words to her advantage, allowing her audience to conjure up their own good ones, their own questions and battles. You relate to the song and you don’t even rightly know over what.
Whatever it is, the more you listen to Anjelica’s haunting voice, you become more and more convinced that you will get out of this, that you will break through to the other side stronger. It’s a powerful song that makes you feel powerful in turn.
